Google Doodles Antoni Gaudi 161st Birthday
Since I do not know much about Antoni Gaudi, I have here a short description about him, an excerpt of the information from Wikipedia.
Antoni Gaudí i Cornet (Catalan pronunciation: [ənˈtɔni ɣəwˈði]; 25 June 1852 – 10 June 1926) was a Spanish Catalan architect born in Reus, in the Catalonia region of Spain and leader of Catalan Modernism. Gaudí’s works reflect his highly individual and distinctive style and are largely concentrated in the Catalan capital of Barcelona, notably his magnum opus, the Sagrada Família.
Much of Gaudí’s work was marked by his big passions in life: architecture, nature, religion. Gaudí studied every detail of his creations, integrating into his architecture a series of crafts in which he was skilled: ceramics, stained glass, wrought ironwork forging and carpentry. He introduced new techniques in the treatment of materials, such as trencadís, made of waste ceramic pieces.
After a few years, under the influence of neo-Gothic art and Oriental techniques, Gaudí became part of the Modernista movement which was reaching its peak in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His work transcended mainstream Modernisme, culminating in an organic style inspired by nature. Gaudí rarely drew detailed plans of his works, instead preferring to create them as three-dimensional scale models and molding the details as he was conceiving them.

Just like music, art has been one of the oldest avenues of communication. It transcends language barriers. Regardless of the skin color, one kind of art can be understood the same way. At other times, the same kind of art projects a different interpretation especially if the art is abstract. That is just the way it is. It welcomes different opinions which are unique to the individual’s point of view. It transcends religious or political views. Even the infamous Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci has been the most talked about, the most visited, the most written and sung about piece of art throughout the whole world. The only ones who cannot relate are those who are blind, yet, some blind used their imagination to appreciate the same.

They have the quality that shouts for positive outlook.
Paintings are great to have in one’s domain. A bedroom with nice paintings will make you think and appreciate life. It makes one meditate. It makes the mind work its neurons so as not to leave them stressed or simply tired but it gives new spark. An idle mind breeds evil so if the mind is meditating as a result of looking at the painting, then that painting is doing a good job to make life better. Situations may not be as good but the acceptance of challenges is more like easier than without the help of the painting. Of course there are paintings that are a result of bad emotions. You will not choose them, though, will you?

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe structural designs are of minimal styles. In fact, he called his buildings ‘skin and bone‘ architecture. He made use of materials such as industrial steels and plate glasses for the interior spaces. But I am not sure if he has utilized revell plastic materials.
