There is a good chance that you haven’t watched MTV in several years. Instead of music video programs like Headbanger’s Ball, 120 Minutes, and Yo! MTV Jams, the culture experts in New York have given us such drivel as Jersey Shore, Viva la Bam, and Teen Mom. Recently, the network has decided to go back to its roots and create new episodes of the classic cartoon series Beavis and Butthead.
Show creator Mike Judge’s decision to bring the show back to life couldn’t have come at a better time. According to Rolling Stone, Judge is the best authority figure for people who enjoy yelling at their TV. Beavis and Butthead have a lot of material to work with instead of just music videos for this go around. They will have access to MTV’s extensive library of reality shows and other programming which usually lends mockery upon itself.
With the proliferation of the Internet, mobile phones, and a political system that has never been more polarized, the dynamic duo will have more material at their disposal than ever. If the two want to make a prank phone call, Anywho.com will replace the classic *69 of the 90’s. If they want to find objectionable magazines, they only need to get on the Internet instead of dumpster diving. If the crew wants to find something on TV to mock, they can surf through an endless amount of channels through a digital service.
The reintroduction of the Beavis and Butthead series has come at a time where millennials have resorted to the nostalgia of childhood in order to tough out the rough economic landscape. According to USA Today, most of this generation is afraid to get a job that is beneath their skillset so they are returning to their parent’s homes for comfort. Included in this so-called comfort zone are reruns of old Nickelodeon shows like Clarissa Explains it All and All That on Nick at Nite, full streaming seasons of The Wonder Years on Netflix, and a surge of 90’s novelty items selling through the roof at Spencer’s.
While Beavis and Butthead may not be able to save the world with their idiocy, they are sure able to bring some quality entertainment and much needed sarcasm to a lost generation. They won’t really help millennials out in a job search, but they will provide them with some snarky wit that will make the hard issues of life easier to sort out.

I have shared here before that I am having now a PC-TV. I didn’t bought it myself, actually. It was just given to me by my classmate in medical school. Since she doesn’t need it anymore, so she gave it to me instead of not using it. And its actually more than a week with me now.
However, just because I am not a TV-holic kind of lass, I didn’t use my PC -TV yesterday, Saturday. What I did at home was doing a video marathon over the internet. Believe it or not, I watched over a hundred of videos – randomly chosen videos like Chipmunk Take Off single, Chase & Status Tinie Tempah Hitz video and even the Ed Sheeran You Need Me, I Don’t Need You video.
I have had fun doing video marathon because it somehow relaxes me. I even forgot even just yesterday about all the stressful things in school and in the hospital. Since the videos were all in random, like, I first watched one funny video, then along that page over the bottom part, there are related videos posted, so I just clicked on them. Good thing my internet connection were fine and running all ok making my Saturday a fun-filled video time day!
For a medical student like me, being in front of a television is just once in a blue moon-like thing to do. However, once given a chance to be in front of the TV, sure thing, one or two hours are not enough.
In fact, last Saturday, I had a good time relaxing with my PC-TV. Just because it’s not my usual thing to do anymore for how many years now since I enrolled in medical school, I have had hard time looking for the television shows and channel that I liked most.
I had nothing uttered in my mind but only I am needing a TV guide. Nothing more but a TV guide!
TV guide, as its name implies, is a guide for television shows. It helps one viewer to find, the easiest way, what channel to check for in looking for specific genre of television shows.
In a TV guide, one can surely check and see the list of television shows to be aired on a specific hour every day by each TV channel. TV guides also list the different television show genres like entertainment, drama, action and more. And in my case, I loved to watch medical and health related television shows. And more, TV guides also specify the country of production of such television show and the primary language used. This is off course, each TV viewers has its own preferences in terms of choosing TV shows to watch for.
Good enough, there’s one online TV guide, the foxtel.com.au, that I happen to stumble upon over the internet. It has helped a lot!
I have no tv here in my apartment, so I used to keep tracks everything online. I was lurking on logo design company for the shirt designs I was tasked to do in our mini groups, just a friendly group. But since, I am very busy to have my own design, I was thinking to contact a design company to so. However, while doing such, I stumbled upon not so fresh news on some tv shows.
Are you used to watch NCIS? So I guess, you might be familiar with the set casts, right? But this has nothing to do with the main casts of the show instead, with the set’s security guard who died during the set’s filming last week. The show is ceasing, for the mean time from filming any shows.
NCIS, also known as NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, is an American police tv-drama series on naval criminal investigation issues.
According to the report,
Garcia, 52, was on the NCIS set tenting a staging area at 10 a.m. when he was hit by a van used on the set by production.
Ralph Blunt, 60, was driving the van when he lost control of the vehicle after suffering some kind of undisclosed medical condition. The van hit Garcia and then two parked cars.
This seems to be bad!
The MTV’s The Challenge host TJ Lavin, who is also a professional BMX biker lost his control in a sport event in Las Vegas last night.
TJ Lavin was immediately rushed to the emergency hospital and now in coma.
