I have no plans to buy myself an iPhone 5 since I am still having a very functional mobile phone at this very moment. However, while I was browsing for Zeal Eclipse Ski Goggles for a preparation for an upcoming out-of-town travel of my cousin with his friends, I stumble upon the Verizon iPhone 5 which has a very interesting feature, it is ‘unlocked’.

When one says an iPhone is ‘unlocked’ it only means that the said mobile phone accepts a “sim card” that identifies any wireless network. Pretty cool, right? But I am still having two thoughts whether to buy new phone or not the price exceeds my budget. LOL!

For any BlackBerry users, this is a great news. The BlackBerry Smartphone’s Operating System (OS), its latest version, BlackBerry 7.1 is now available in the Philippines. This Smartphone’s OS is applicable and made available to BlackBerry Bold 9900 model.
One of the features of the latest OS update is the innovative way of sharing information to other or within BlackBerry mobile phone users. This feature is called the ‘BlackBerry Tag‘. Users can share information the easiest way by simply tapping their NFC-enabled BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone against another NFC-enabled BlackBerry smartphone. This also enables users to connect and invite other users via BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Sharing of documents like photos and other files are just so easy also using the NFC-enabled Bluetooth device by pairing to other mobile unit.
BlackBerry Bold 9900 can also be used as a mobile hotspot. This feature enables a user to share up to five (5) WiFi-enabled mobile devices.
Moreover, I don’t have any BlackBerry Smartphones myself but looking at these features they offer, this somehow entices me to have one for myself. But of course, I would be much more excited to own one if my chosen and loved apps for mobile phones are available. These apps include gaming and for my blogging as well. For gaming, Posh Bingo apps for mobile phones are what I loved to have. While for blogging, StumbleUpon, Digg, Pinterest apps are what I wanted to have.
By the way, the BlackBerry OS 7.1 can be downloaded from ph.blackberry.com/update.

When I bought my new mobile phone last month, one of the features that my boyfriend suggested me to check to each mobile phones that I was longing to have is the geocaching GPS units.
At first, I don’t have enough knowledge on the use of GPS on mobile units at first. But he shared to me how things work on GPS units.
Shown above is a diagram on how a GPS unit works. That is just, somehow, a summary on how my boyfriend explained to me what he has known about the GPS.
And yes! I followed what he advised. I was getting more curious on using and exploring how to use the GPS units on mobile phone and I indeed bought a mobile phone having such feature.
By far, it helps me found the easiest route to drive especially during my travel vacation three weeks ago. I wasn’t that very familiar with the place, though that was already my second visit to that place. Good enough, the GPS features on my phone is working well, it helped me not gotten lost from the place.
Remember those days, only a few years ago, when those who worked in finance or IT got a BlackBerry through their work? Remember how people in those industries were often seen carrying two phones around – one for business, one for personal use? Well those days are fast receding into the review mirror, partially because BlackBerries have been losing popularity and partially due to an increasing corporate reluctance to foot the phone bill.
A couple of programs announced in the past week might put a twist on this trend. AT&T unveiled a service called “AT&T Toggle,” which to have a work phone and a personal phone in the same device. The service will carry two separate profiles which can easily be switched between, thus allowing work calendars to stay distinct from personal calendars, work contacts to remain separate from personal ones. The technology, developed by Enterproid, will run on any Android phone, although it will probably be offered shortly on the iPhone and several other platforms.
While many workers may scoff at the idea, the service promises to make traction with businesses. Not only can it save money by eliminating the need for corporate phones, but its work platform will also be secured and can connect to the company’s central data. For this reason AT&T will market Toggle to enterprises.
A similar program about to be released by Motorola Mobility will put security and administrative tools on Android phones, with the aim of allowing IT workers to use one phone for both work and business. A full launch of the product is expected to take place at the CTIA Enterprise & Applications conference.
The Motorola program will be carried on several Android phones, HTC and Sony Ericsson included. If it gains favor among the corporate crowd – along with AT&T’s Toggle – it could create a market where any phone can be equally suited for home or for work. In that case, if the IT employee in the family wants an iPhone 4S or one of the htc android camera phones, it could merely be a reasonable business investment.
As much as I wanted to get an Apple iPhone smartphones, I still could not because of my so sweaty hands. Not just an iPhone but all full-touch screen phones. It ain’t a good phone for me, as per advised.
