I am not a historian nor having the will to learn more about histories. In fact, it’s one of those subjects since High School up until I graduated college which I really don’t like to attend classes at. However, reading about the history of the American Silver Eagle, history, per se, made me appreciate how things from the past.

As said, the American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States. I have not read more details about it but on 2002, the Secretary of Treasury in the United States was authorized to buy silver bullion bars and sources from the open market and since then, though having fluctuating rate of silver bullion sales until this year, it was just on January 2012 that the sale rate of silver bullion is considered one of the highest.

It seems like everything in the Battlefield for the American Football team, Oakland Raiders ain’t getting better from the previous year that even ended to fire their head coach, Hue Jackson.

If I remember it well, last 2010, Oakland Raiders also fired their coach Tom Cable.

With the vacancy of head coach seat for the Raiders, many different reports said that they are still looking for new “Oakland Raiders Head Coach” to replace Hue Jackson.

Happy Memorial Day 2011 USA!

Today, May 30, 2011, the last Monday of May, the United States of America is celebrating its 2011 Memorial Day. Happy Memorial Day 2011 USA!

I only understand a few about the Memorial Day celebration of the United States. I neither am good nor liked history; perhaps the reason why I never put any serious attention to my teachers during my senior high school years in our History class. Yeah, I ain’t kidding disclosing how bad was my History grades before. At least, I still manage to pass the subject.

Anyway, as what I have lurked about the US Memorial Day celebration, it is celebrated as an honor to the soldiers who won the freedom of the United States. Isn’t it sweet to think of? Or maybe I’m just carried away the thought that I have my hubby M that is a soldier too? LOL!

Seriously, I honor soldiers even before I met my hubby. Soldiers put all the risks to battle against unlikely people wanting to govern a country with just a single firearm and nothing more. When in battle, they almost forget their-selves just to win such. Their family, friends and relatives are all left at home when they are on call to perform their duty and responsibility for the country.

Truly, they should be honored and remember; being such a heroic in their little ways.

Iggy Pop Live in American Idol

I’m neither used to watch American Idol nor following any contestant except if he/she has been shining already with great songs.

However, I’m kind’a getting interested with American Idol tonight because Iggy Pop performs.

I know a bit of Iggy Pop because of his remarkable rock n roll music performing in a shirtless style. The word Iggy Pop is not his real name, it is derived from his first band Iguanas. Iggy Pop is a punk and hard rocker singer, actor and songwriter.

Some of the songs of Iggy Pop includes Lust for Life, I wanna be you dog, Candy and China Girl. I’ll feature his songs in Music Monday one of these days.

Florence Henderson Guest on Rudetsky’s Chatterbox

Florence Agnes Henderson, born in February 14, 1934 and an American actress and singer, who is best known as Carol Brady in the television program The Brady Bunch in 1969 to 1974 was featured as guest on Seth’s Broadway Chatterbox on Thursday, February 18, 2010.

Seth’s Broadway Chatterbox is actually an hour weekly talk show which is hosted by Seth Rudetsky. Darn! I missed it. I might settle again for youtube.com. LOL! I am still on emo mode, so better bare with me. Smiley

And for tonight, Florence Agnes Henderson will be joining the cast of 2009 Dramam Desk Award winner Celebrity Autobigraphy: In Their Own Words at New York’s Triad Theater, 158 West 72 Street. Three shows will be held this February: Monday, Feb ruary 15 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm and Monday, February 22 at 7:30pm.

Hannah Kearney Wins GOLD

This year’s Winter Olympics made America’s first gold medal bagged by Hannah Kearney against Canadian rival Jennifer Heile; definitely making significant noise in history.

Kearney won the moguls title with a pressure-packed, near-perfect run, landing a back flip and a particularly pretty 360-degree jump while beating the entire competition down the hill in 27.86 seconds. More..

Heil came in as the favorite on paper – winner of her last four World Cup events – but this one really wasn’t close. Kearney scored 26.63 points to win by .94 – a wide margin in a sport often decided by tenths and hundredths.

She won in a blowout four years after coming in as the favorite but stumbling in qualifying for a 22nd-place finish that left her crying at the bottom. More..

After performing at the Super Bowl 44 halftime shows, fans of one of The Who‘s members Roger Daltry were asking “How Old Roger Daltry is?”

Roger Daltry, an English singer-songwriter and an actor was born in March 01, 1944. Definitely, Roger Daltry is 65 years old now. He is actually the founder and the lead singer of the English rock band “The Who“.

So sad, honestly, I wasn’t able to watch super bowl live earlier (Philippine time) because we had a class. Smiley Good thing, you tube is here, though. LOL! Smiley

Oh no!!! This seems to be the biggest joke that I could ever read today!!! Is this for real or what? Is Bill Cosby dead?

It seems not. No media news yet confirming that Bill Cosby is dead. He’s definitely alive.

Here’s a little info ’bout this man. Who really is Bill Cosby?

William Henry “Bill” Cosby, Jr. was born in July 12, 1937 is an American comedian, actor, author, television producer, musician and activist. He is also a veteran stand-up performer. He started showing off in a number of clubs. Thence he had his first action show in 1960s the I Spy. He also had his own series, The Bill Cosby Show aired in 1969.
