Women’s Rights Activists Won the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize

The 2011 Nobel Peace Prize were awarded to three women who are very active in finding and looking for peace in their respective countries and in the world as well. The three women are the Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, women’s rights activist Leymah Gbowee from Africa and the democracy activist Tawakkul Karman from Yemen.

The three women will share the winning amount for themselves.
