Leslie Nielsen, star of ‘Airplane!’ and ‘Naked Gun,’ died at 84

The man behind “Airplane” and “Naked Gun“, Leslie Nielsen died at the age of 84.

As known, Leslie Nielsen has been treated for his pneumonia and might be the cause of his death. He died in the hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale according to his agent.

Leslie Nielsen is a Canadian actor who has been acting since 1950s. Aside from the movies mentioned above, he is also best-known with his roles in the stalwart spaceship captain in the science-fiction classic “Forbidden Planet” (1956), the wealthy, available Southern aristocrat in “Tammy and the Bachelor” (1957), and an ocean liner captain faced with disaster in “The Poseidon Adventure” (1972).
